Her athletic accomplishments include: High school All-American in Cross Country/Track and Field (1988); Full Scholarship Cross Country/Track Athlete- Drake University (1988-1992); 2 time Gateway Conference (NCAA D1) Cross Country Champion and National Qualifier (1988,1989); Gateway Conference Athlete of the Decade (Cross Country) (1982-1992). Also, her background includes: Master’s Degree from UT Southwestern Medical School, Dallas, TX; Head Track/Cross Country Coach Ursuline Academy (Dallas, TX) (1994,1995,1996 – 3 time State Cross Country Champs); Head Cross Country Coach University of Nebraska-Kearney (NCAA D2) (1998); NSCA (National Strength and Conditioning Association) Certified Personal Trainer (2004-present). |

Jose Antonio, PhD, CSCS - Sports Nutritionist and Training Advisor - Jose (“Joey”) Antonio is the CEO of the International Society of Sports Nutrition as well as a professor of Exercise Science at Nova Southeastern University. He has written 12 books and over 1000 articles on training, nutrition, and supplementation for sports and is a CSCS (certified strength and conditioning specialist). He will advise the Sharks and their parents on the importance of proper training and nutrition. Coach Devin Higginbotham - Softball Expert/Pitching Advisor – Devin made 20 appearances and started in 16 games in her first season as a Shark, compiling an 11-5 overall record. She played four years of softball at Palatka High School under Coach Kurt Smith; was an All-County honoree for four years; an All-State honoree for two years & played two seasons at Seminole Community College and was a First Team All-Conference honoree for two seasons. She currently helps the little Sharks with pitching and is also a current pitcher for Nova Southeastern University. |

Coach Lesa Boneé – Softball Advisor to the little Sharks – She enters her eighth season at the helm of the Nova Southeastern University softball team. Boneé has a 411-298-1 overall record in 13 seasons and is 229-170-1 at NSU. In her career, Boneé s programs have produced 23 All-Conference, 12 All-Region and two All-America selections. She helps the Deerfield Beach Sharks with softball skills and have helped turn them into one of the most successful 10U teams in Florida and in the nation. Boneé holds a bachelor of science degree in physical education from Middle Tennessee State and a master of arts degree in educational leadership from the University of Sarasota. |

Coach Jenna Lopez – Softball Advisor to the Little Sharks – Jenna is a teacher at Boca Raton Community High School and a Boca Raton resident, is the new women’s softball coach at Broward College. Lopez, who played for four years on the Florida Atlantic University softball team, also has been a member of Puerto Rico’s national team since graduating in 2007. Her travels with the national team have taken her to Canada, Brazil and other countries. Lopez originally began her playing career as a catcher, then became an infielder and ended her college career as an outfielder. |

Coach Caitlyn Bliss – Softball Expert: As a Senior (2009) at Florida Atlantic University, Caitlyn went 3-for-4 with 2 RBI in season opener against UMass…went 2-for-3 and drove in a run against Pittsburgh…hit .538 in FAU Kick-Off Classic Tournament…named Sun Belt Player of the Week on Feb. 9…had a double and a triple with 2 RBI against Georgia Tech…hit .462 at Lipton Invitational and was named Sun Belt Player of the Week for second consecutive week…had two hits and scored twice against Arkansas….went 3-for-5 with two RBI against Liberty…had a hit against Purdue before injuring her wrist…missed 12 games due to the injury…smacked homerun against Western Kentucky in second game back…had three hits, three RBI, two runs scored and a homerun against WKU in Sun Belt Tournament…named First-Team All-Sun Belt as designated player…made NFCA All-South Region Team…hit .351 with two outs. |

Kevin Griffith – Coach - Kevin was an Assistant Softball Coach at Piper High School in Sunrise, FL. He is a top notch hitting coach and aggressive base coach. He believes in encouraging his players to be the best and offers top-notch instruction in order for them to reach their goals. As well as being the Third Base Coach of the Broward Sharks, Kevin is also a K9 officer with the Lauderhill PD. |
